The Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley, our city/ county operated shelter, has an urgent need for crates, collars and leashes.  The shelter is hundreds of animals beyond it’s normal occupancy rate due to Dr Beth Vesco-Mock, the new shelter director, and her courageous commitment to initiate a no kill goal for our community. Dr Beth is saving many more animals than has been the case in the past hoping that adoption, foster and rescue will be forthcoming for these animals.  It is also the time of year that brings more animals to the shelter.

Please help spread the word to friends, colleagues, businesses and any of the service or professional organizations to which you belong.  Used or new are appreciated. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Please remember that the shelter has an absolutely critical need for foster families, rescue, volunteering at the shelter especially walking dogs.  Please urge people you know who are looking for a companion animal to adopt from the shelter
